Absentee Voting
Voting absentee is an easy and efficient way to vote if you are unable to go to the polls due to work or vacation schedules. Anyone registered to vote in Allen County who is unable to vote at their precinct on Election Day due to any one of the following reasons is qualified to vote absentee:

  • Voter expects to be absent from the county on election day
  • The voter is confined or is caring for a confined person or is unable to go to the voting place due to illness, injury, or disability
  • The voter is at least 65 years of age
  • The voter is an absent uniformed services voter or an overseas voter
  • The voter expects to have official election duties outside his or her voting precinct
  • The voter is scheduled to work at his or her place of employment during the entire 12 hours that the polls are open.

Primary Elections: May 6, 2008

Applications for Absentee Voter Ballots for the Primary Elections are due at Allen County Election Board by:
Midnight on April 28,2008

Absentee Voter Ballots for the Municipal Elections are due to the Allen County Election Board by:
Noon May 5, 2008

Voting in Person at the Election Board:
Starting April 7th, thru May 2nd: Monday – Friday 8:00 to 4:30
Saturday April 26 th, 9:00 to 4:00
Saturday May 3 rd, 9:00 to 4:00
Monday May 5 th, 8:00 to Noon

 

Presidential Elections: November 4, 2008

Applications for Absentee Voter Ballots for the Presidential Elections are due at Allen County Election Board by:
Midnight on October 27, 2008

Absentee Voter Ballots for the Presidential Elections are due to the Allen County Election Board by:
Noon November 3, 2008

Voting in Person at the Election Board:
Starting October 6th, thru October 31st: Monday – Friday 8:00 to 4:30
Saturday October 25th 9:00 to 4:00
Saturday November 1st 9:00 to 4:00
Monday November 3rd 8:00 to Noon
